What We Do

Unlike traditional editors who may focus solely on one aspect of editing (such as grammar or line editing), WordSword aims to provide a comprehensive service.

We offer services for not only editing but also feedback on character arcs, plot development, and overall storytelling.

In addition to our detail to prose, we also offer branding and photography for clients. We are aware we  live in a time where social media plays in inevitable role in author success. This is why we have taken the time to develop fully accessible and tailored packaged for our clients. We see your work as a piece of art. That artwork also needs to be marketed to your target audience. We want to help you create a comprehensive brand for you and career as an author. We help our authors create an entire platform and atmosphere for their books.

This integrated approach ensures that authors receive guidance not only on the content of their manuscripts but also on how to present their work effectively to their target audience. We help our authors to be able to present a truly remarkable and polished product to a publisher or to be ready to self-publish. Our propositions can be tailored and bundled to create the perfect service to meet our author’s specific needs.

This service entails the creation of visually captivating cover designs and interior artwork for books. The cover design is crucial as it serves as the first point of contact with potential readers, often influencing their decision to pick up the book. A well-designed cover should effectively convey the essence of the book, attract the target audience, and reflect its genre, tone, and content.
Our designer will offer our authors three mock-ups of the collaborative design as well as final edits to cover choice.

This would heavily benefit our self-publishers but can also offer advantages for the authors looking to gain an online presence for traditional publishing/promotion.

Query

For most authors, querying is the primary way to secure representation from a literary agent. Literary agents act as intermediaries between authors and publishers, and they play a vital role in negotiating book deals and advocating for the author's interests. A well-crafted query letter is often the first step in attracting an agent's attention.

Querying is not just about securing a book deal; it's also an opportunity for authors to establish professional relationships with agents and editors. These connections can be invaluable throughout the author's career, especially for future projects or collaborations.

We can assist in crafting compelling query letters and synopses to accompany manuscripts when submitting them to agents or publishers.
